The use of the data reader and laptop may require further education to keep updated on changes in vehicle electronics.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Mount and wire equipment on truck and run/route wiring harnesses throughout the truck body using small hand tools. Requires wrist strength.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Install and wire equipment including but not limited to lights and light mounts, generator set systems, and intercom systems, including radio interfaces.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Possess a basic knowledge of basic electric tools, crimpers, side cutters, wire gauge, & pulling wires.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to consistently read a tape measure accurately.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to read blueprints, & shop orders etc.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to run wire in conduit.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to use a fish tape.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to identify colors.</li> </ol> Potential Hazards: <ol> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Eye injuries: use eye protection at all times.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Cuts & burns: Use caution to prevent cuts when sanding and wear PPE when welding to protect against burns.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Trips, slips, & falls: ensure all air hoses and obstacles are kept clear of aisles.
