Several educational institutions also are nearby, including a Northern Arizona University satellite campus, Eastern Arizona College, and the Gila Institute for Technology. </p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What You Will Do</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.</li> <li>Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, breaks, differentials, pumps, motors, torque convertors, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components.</li> <li>Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines.</li> <li>Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.</li> <li>Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections.</li> <li>Operate mobile equipment such as: Overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks.</li> <li>Perform welding such as: Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick.</li> <li>Perform as a Fill-in Supervisor as required.</li> <li>Train and mentor other employees.</li> <li>Perform other duties as required.</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What You Bring To Freeport</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Two (2) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.</li> <li>Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude.</li> <li>HEM Diagnostic Mechanic I: Practical Skills Assessments defined in LOP.</li> <li>Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English</li> <li>Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards</li> <li>Ability to prioritize repairs and possess excellent decision-making skills</li> <li>Ability to troubleshoot machine systems</li> <li>Ability to work and effectively communicate with others</li> <li>Ability to read and use blueprints</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED</li> </ul> </div></div></div><p><strong>What We Offer You</strong> </p> <p>The estimated pay range for this role is currently <strong>$29.00 - $39.00/hour</strong>. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
