Visit <a href="https://www.visitsilvercity.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Silver City</a> to learn more. </p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What You Will Do</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of Electrical Engineering projects. </li> <li>Develop Electrical Engineering projects utilizing new technology to constantly upgrade and improve site safety, efficiencies, cost controls, quality controls and protection of the environment. </li> <li>Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.</li> <li>Manage maintenance and projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansion or modifications.</li> <li>Provide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations.</li> <li>Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas. </li> <li>Develop and evaluate AFE’s (Authorization for Expenditure) for capital funding requests. </li> <li>May evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment. </li> <li>May represent the site on company sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teams. </li> <li>Perform other duties as required. </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What You Bring To Freeport</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelor&apos;s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and five (5) years of related experience in Engineering or a related field, OR </li> <li>Master&apos;s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and three (3) years of related experience in Engineering or related field </li> <li>Working knowledge and experience in electronics, PLCs, radio communications and control systems </li> <li>Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of Electrical Engineering with an understanding of Mechanical and Process Engineering techniques </li> <li>Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions </li> <li>Skill in managing large/complex Engineering projects </li> <li>Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written </li> <li>Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement </li> <li>Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions </li> <li>Skill in following safety practices and recognizing hazards </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Advanced degree or Professional Engineering (PE) Certification.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience of power systems engineering including equipment design and specification, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical/industrial power systems.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience of power systems studies including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and Arc flash study and mitigation.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience in designing process automation system including experience in producing instrumentation and control narrative, PLC programming (preferred Allen Bradley PLCs), P&amp;ID drawings.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and/or Visio and Excel.</li> </ul></div></div></div><p><strong>What We Offer You </strong></p> <p> The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently <strong>$105,000-$145,000.</strong> This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
