Dr. Czyzyk-Krzeska is a physician-scientist internationally recognized for work on clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), and the laboratory integrates state-of-the-art molecular biology, cell-based and animal models, and advanced systems-biology multiomics approaches to investigate mechanisms of ccRCC progression and to develop prognostic and predictive biomarkers. A major research focus centers on cancer metabolism and the role of metals—particularly trace element copper—in regulating tumor cell metabolism and behavior (Cancer Discovery, 2025, PMID: 40667137). The research environment is highly collaborative and includes faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and external collaborators across molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, chemistry, and medical oncology. This multidisciplinary setting provides outstanding opportunities for high-quality training, access to cutting-edge technologies, and strong individualized mentoring toward scientific independence. The position is ideal for highly motivated candidates with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in a relevant field who seek to lead impactful projects, develop a strong publication record, and advance their career in cancer research.
