Dr. Czyzyk-Krzeska is a physician-scientist internationally recognized for work on clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), and the laboratory integrates state-of-the-art molecular biology, cell-based and animal models, and advanced systems-biology multiomics approaches to investigate mechanisms of ccRCC progression and to develop prognostic and predictive biomarkers. A major research focus centers on cancer metabolism and the role of metals—particularly trace element copper—in regulating tumor cell metabolism and behavior (Cancer Discovery, 2025, PMID: 40667137). The research environment is highly collaborative and includes faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and external collaborators across molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, chemistry, and medical oncology. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">This multidisciplinary setting provides outstanding opportunities for high-quality training, access to cutting-edge technologies, and strong individualized mentoring toward scientific independence.
