The appointment will begin on August 15, 2026, and entails a 2/2 or 2/3 teaching load. Teaching duties will include Greek History, Roman History, in addition to one of our advanced Civilization courses in the Spring (Athenian Democracy; History of Medicine; Ancient Warfare, vel sim.). A Ph.D. in Classics or a related field by the time of the appointment is expected, although we will also consider advanced Ph.D. candidates.
