The Department of Mathematical Sciences is committed to excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to improving STEM education through the use of new pedagogical initiatives and cutting edge technologies, and a research based, active learning approach involving new models of instruction. </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Essential Functions</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>On a part-time basis, teach Mathematics and/or Statistics courses at the undergraduate level. Teaching is typically done as part of a team led by a faculty Course Coordinator. Most courses are taught in person on the Uptown West campus. </li> <li>Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities. These activities include participation in meetings and common tasks when part of a coordinated course team. </li> <li>Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications. </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Minimum Requirements</H2> </div><div><ul> <li> Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics, or a Master’s degree in any discipline and at least 18 credit hours of graduate-level coursework in Mathematics or Statistics. </li> </ul> <ul> <li> Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject. </li> </ul> <ul> <li> Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Application Process</H2> </div><div>Please include a minimum of a cover letter and resume.
