In collaboration with the Associate Dean, the Program Head serves as the liaison to<br>the state board of nursing, is accountable for student interviews and onboarding, and performs<br>just-in-time service recovery with students, faculty, and key clinical partners. Additionally, the<br>Program Head assists in business development opportunities, clinical site relationship<br>maintenance, and student success data tracking. The Program Head is responsible for the<br>selection, training, assessing and managing of full-time, adjunct faculty, and simulation<br>operation specialist(s) at his/her/their location.</p> <p><br><strong>Successful candidates in this role will reside in the Council Bluffs, IA area or within a</strong><br><strong>commutable distance.</strong> The Academic Program Head is required to be onsite to manage direct reports,</p> <p>facilitate partnership needs, and continue to ensure quality<br>learning experiences for students.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><em>This hybrid role is based in Council Bluffs and Dallas County, offering flexibility</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>for candidates who prefer a balance of onsite and remote work. Regular in-office presence</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em> is required, but candidates are not expected to be onsite five days a week."</em> The clinical site is</strong></p> <p><strong> located </strong><strong>at Dallas County Hospital 610 10th Street, Perry, IA 50220".</strong></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What to expect in this role:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● Manage direct reports for the program location (Faculty, Simulation Operations<br> Specialist, NCLEX Mentor, and Clinical Coordinator)<br>● Maintain clinical site relationship, to include:<br> ○ Serve as the liaison to the state board of nursing (BON) and attend all BON meetings.<br> ○ Manage all student contracts and compliance, develop and execute the clinical<br> faculty training program and lead the onboarding process with all clinical sites.<br> ○ Develop and maintain key clinical partnerships and partner with the Business<br> Development Management (BDM) team as needed.</p> <p>● Ensure quality and relevant learning experiences for students, to include:<br> ○ Implement NCLEX-RN preparation plan developed by the SON<br> ○ Didactic and clinical course monitoring for continuous quality improvement<br> ○ Host nursing success meeting for all admissions once per term</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Experience:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● Masters Degree in Nursing<br>● 3-5 Year's; experience in post-secondary education (experience with online instruction is a plus). <br>● Certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) to be obtained within 12 months of<br> hire. Possesses required knowledge of best practice in higher education pedagogy.</p> <p>● Preferred Qualifications:<br> ○ Doctoral degree preferred from a regionally accredited institution and certification in their area of specialization.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What we’re looking for:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and Google applications and Google <br>● Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with a strong<br> knowledge of the financial implications of managing people, projects, and schedules<br>● Ability to work independently in virtual and location-based onsite environments with<br> minimal supervision<br>● Thinks strategically, effectively working with the team to analyze data, implement-data<br> informed, student-centered decisions, and adapt to changing technologies<br>● Skill in networking with clinical and business development partners, with the exceptional<br> ability to perform relationship management with healthcare partners, students, and faculty<br>● Ability to manage multiple tasks, work with a high level of accuracy, and be effective in a leadership role<br>● Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.<br>● May require occasional travel (approx. 10%) in addition to onsite presence.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Additional Information:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● The target salary for this position is $90,000 to $94,000 annually.<br>● Purdue University Global will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.<br>● A background check will be required for employment in this position.<br>● FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime)<br>● Purdue Global is an EEO/EA employer.
