This role will manage research operations and research teams in the Governance and Responsible AI Lab (GRAIL).</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Who We Are:</strong></p> <p>GRAIL is a university research center focused on fostering interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of AI, governance and policy, empowering students, and driving rigorous research that answers critical questions facing policymakers and practitioners.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities Include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Implement policies, procedures, and standards for research operations and research staffing.</li> <li>Ensure research compliance practices and procedures are followed.</li> <li>Verify quality of research data.</li> <li>Recommend new research ideas and protocols; conduct literature searches, grant opportunities, and draft grant proposal documents.</li> <li>Assist with partnership building, fundraising initiatives, and grant preparation.</li> <li>Monitor materials, software, data, inventory, control and vendor management.</li> <li>Oversee the maintenance of GRAIL equipment, software, websites, and social media.</li> <li>Manages event, visitor logistics; and maintains center communications, website, and social media presence. </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What We're Looking For: </b></H2> </div><div><p><strong>Required:</strong></p> <p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant social science field.</li> <li>Three years of experience in administrative coordination, research support, or academic operations.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Skills Needed:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational and leadership skills.</li> <li>Professional communication skills with experience with digital tools.</li> <li>Experience planning and managing events and communications.</li> <li>Use of AI applications for research.</li> <li>R, Python, or similar statistical software.</li> <li>Web editing.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What is Helpful:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s Degree.</li> <li>Four or more years of experience in administrative coordination, research support, or academic operations. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Additional Information:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong><em>This is a limited term duration position of 3 years with an estimated end date of May 31, 2029.
