This position works with the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine, the athletic training staff and team physicians to deliver a high level of athletic health care for division one intercollegiate athletes.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Evaluation of acute and chronic athletic injuries</li> <li>Assist team physicians in athletic injuries</li> <li>Maintain ATR and work space cleanliness</li> <li>Develop and implement injury prevention strategies</li> <li>Practice and game medical coverage</li> <li>Acute treatment of athletic injuries</li> <li>Implement emergency action plans as needed</li> <li>Appropriately apply therapeutic modalities to student-athletes</li> <li>Develop and execute injury specific rehabilitation plans</li> <li>Assist with supply inventory and ordering</li> <li>File insurance claims for athletic injuries</li> <li>Maintain detailed medical records of student-athletes</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field from a CAATE accredited athletic training education program. <em>*Applicants with a Spring 2026 graduation date will be considered. Any offer will be contingent upon graduation and certification*</em></li> <li>0–1-year experience in sports medicine, physical therapy and/or athletic training.</li> <li>NATA-BOC certification and Indiana Athletic Training License, Indiana Physical Therapy License if employee has Physical Therapy degree.</li> <li>Must be able to carry and lift coolers of ice, water, and medical equipment.</li> <li>Must have a valid driver’s license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.</li> <li>Must have weekend availability with frequent travel flexibility.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field from a CAATE accredited athletic training education program. <em>*Applicants with a Spring 2026 graduation date will be considered.
