The annual pay for this position is $49,665.24.<strong> </strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage operations of the Music Industry Building, including equipment inventory, database tracking, maintenance schedules, and studio scheduling.</li> <li>Provide technical production support for performances, including audio recording, live sound, and video recording/broadcast.</li> <li>Supervise, train, and schedule student workers supporting recording and production activities.</li> <li>Provide technical support to faculty and students for use of equipment and facilities.</li> <li>Manage and maintain archival recordings and distribution processes.</li> <li>Serve as recording engineer and event manager for assigned sessions and performances.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Music Technology, Recording, Production, or related field. *<em>A High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of extensive professional experience in studio production and recording, and live event production will be considered*</em></li> <li>Experience in studio production and recording, and live event production.</li> <li>Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time while meeting assigned deadlines.</li> <li>Knowledge of live concert and sound production, recording, and general lighting techniques.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of audio systems, computer software, and file systems.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills.</li> <li>Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office, Airtable).</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and follow up skills.</li> <li>Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in recording for classical and commercial music.</li> <li>Experience with broadcast video systems Management experience.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Free tuition through Purdue University Global.</li> <li>Fee remission for a traditional Purdue degree for yourself, your spouse, and your child(ren).</li> <li>Insurance starts on first day of employment.</li> <li>Generous Paid Time Off – additional PTO in December.</li> <li>Additional benefit information: <a href="https://www.purdue.edu/hr/benewell/">https://www.purdue.edu/hr/benewell/</a></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Additional Information:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.</strong></li> <li>Resumes and cover letters that contain portraits or personal information are not permitted.</li> <li>A background check and misconduct will be required for employment in this position.</li> </ul> <p><em> </em></p> <p style="text-align:center"><em>Purdue Fort Wayne is an EEO/AA employer</em></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>FLSA Status</b></H2> </div><div>Exempt</div></div></div>
