The clinical site is located at The Center for Healthcare Education</strong></em><br><em><strong>and Simulation 1795 IA-64, Anamosa, IA 52205.</strong></em></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Job Summary:</b></H2> </div><div><p>The Simulation Operation Specialist has responsibility for the installation, maintenance,<br>and general operation of sophisticated high, mid, and low fidelity simulation equipment,<br>task trainers, audio-visual equipment, and computers used in the training of healthcare<br>professionals. This role provides exceptional customer service, including the ability to<br>express technical information effectively to non-technical persons. The Simulation<br>Operations Specialist has knowledge of and experience with clinical training equipment<br>and simulation lab operations. The role reports to the Academic Program Head in<br>Anamosa.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>What to expect in this role:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● Simulation Maintenance:<br> ○ Operate and maintain simulation equipment, task trainers, computerized<br> simulators, audio-video recording systems, and virtual reality procedural trainers<br> with the ability to follow medical aspects of scenarios, and make appropriate<br> adjustments to technology systems..<br> ○ Set up and maintain the simulation lab, classroom and manage lab supplies.<br> ○ Perform program maintenance and repair of the simulators, software, hardware,<br> and audiovisual equipment.<br> ○ Collaborates with vendors for maintenance and repair of equipment, including the<br> implementation of hardware or software updates.</p> <p>● Faculty & Student Support:<br> ○ Collaborates with clinical faculty during simulations and learning activities.<br> ○ Responsible for the ongoing support of simulation faculty during simulation.<br> ○ Provide appropriate guidance to students in the simulation setting related to<br> professionalism.</p> <p>● Operations & Curriculum Support:</p> <p> ○ Oversee daily operations at the simulation center by maintaining regular<br> communication with their manager.<br> ○ Maintain current knowledge of the Nursing curriculum, policies, and requirements.</p> <p>● Perform other duties as assigned.<br> ○ May include occasional travel to support professional development opportunities<br> and required training or to other Purdue Global simulation centers to assist with<br> operational needs.<br> ○ Act as a standardized patient (actor in the role of a patient) when needed.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Experience:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● Some higher education. <em><strong>Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or comparable experience.</strong></em><br>● 0-1 years of experience.<br>● Interest in healthcare simulation and customer service experience.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>What we’re looking for:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● Ability to learn simulation equipment/ basic nursing equipment.<br>● Valid drivers license in the state of employment and surrounding states.<br>● Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite software, such as MS Word, Excel and<br> Powerpoint, as well as Google applications such as Gmail, Chat and Meet.<br>● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, balance competing demands for<br> time, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.<br>● Effective analytical skills with the ability to assess situations, resolve issues or make<br> recommendations as appropriate.<br>● Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication<br> style and method to suit different audiences.<br>● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a professional<br> demeanor with people at all levels within the organization.<br>● Valid driver's license in the state of employment (Iowa) and surrounding states</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Additional Information:</b></H2> </div><div><ul style="margin-top:0.0px;margin-bottom:0.0px"> <li style=""> <p style="margin-top:0.0pt;margin-bottom:0.0pt"><span style="">The target salary for this position is $60,000.</span></p> </li> <li style=""> <p style="margin-top:0.0pt;margin-bottom:0.0pt"><span style="">Purdue University Global will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.</span></p> </li> <li style=""> <p style="margin-top:0.0pt;margin-bottom:0.0pt"><span style="">A background check will be required for employment in this position. </span></p> </li> <li style=""> <p style="margin-top:0.0pt;margin-bottom:0.0pt"><span style="">We ask that our remote employees have access to a reliable internet connection and a dedicated, properly equipped workspace that is free of distractions.
