This role is essential in advancing data stewardship, data quality, and responsible data use across the institution.</p> <p>Working closely with the Data Governance Lead, the analyst will help manage and document the projects and operations of the Executive Data Council, Purdue&apos;s primary data governance body. The role also includes coordinating with a stakeholders across the university to support shared governance goals and ensure alignment on enterprise data initiatives.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>Governance Structure Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Data Governance Lead in managing the operations and activities of the Executive Data Council</li> <li>Coordinate and attend council and committee meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items</li> <li>Draft meeting agendas, summaries, minutes, and follow-up communications</li> <li>Track governance initiatives, timelines, and deliverables to support effective oversight and accountability</li> </ul> <p>Cross-Functional Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Support efforts to coordinate data stakeholders to advance enterprise data governance goals</li> <li>Facilitate communication and alignment across units to ensure consistent understanding of governance expectations, standards, and priorities</li> <li>Help monitor progress on shared initiatives and assist in removing barriers to collaboration</li> </ul> <p>Documentation &amp; Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain documentation related to data governance policies, standards, procedures, and workflows</li> <li>Draft outcome reports, project summaries, and other written materials that communicate progress and results of data governance initiatives</li> <li>Create clear, accessible materials that help campus stakeholders understand data governance processes and responsibilities</li> </ul> <p>Project &amp; Operational Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist with data governance projects, including data quality assessments, metadata initiatives, and stewardship activities</li> <li>Support cross-functional collaboration with technical teams, business units, and academic partners</li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement of governance processes, tools, and communication practices</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">What We&apos;re Looking For:</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelor&apos;s degree in Business, Communications, Business or Data Analytics, Social Sciences, Library and Information Sciences, Education or a related field</li> <li>Two or more years of experience in organizational communications, business administration, data analytics, library and information sciences, sociology, public policy, education, technical writing or another related field.</li> <li>Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver effective messages to a variety of end users</li> <li>Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured, and accurate documentation</li> <li>Demonstrated ability working with cross-organization leadership</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to coordinate work across diverse stakeholder groups and manage multiple priorities</li> <li>Interest in data governance</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">What Is Helpful:</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Experience working in a university setting</li> <li>Familiarity with federal and state regulations (i.e. FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA)</li> <li>Experience supporting committees, councils, or cross-functional working groups</li> <li>Experience working with data governance and organization polcy</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">What We Want You To Know:</H2> </div><div><ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Remote or hybrid options are available for this position</li> <li>For full consideration, applicants should submit a resume and cover letter</li> <li>Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position</li> <li>A background check is required for employment in this position</li> <li>FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime)</li> <li>Retirement Eligibility: Defined Contribution Waiting Period</li> <li>Purdue University is an EO/EA University. </li> </ul></div></div></div>
