This role is responsible to ensure efficient operation of all electrical and process control instrumentation within the high-bay freezer and warehouse area. This includes mechanical and general facility maintenance, lubrication, sanitation, troubleshooting and repair of all equipment. This position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the mechanical equipment and can make decisions based on sound judgement when a situation dictates.</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style=""><span style="">Safety of our employees, visitors, and contractors in the number one priority for all workers. This position is responsible to help ensure the safe condition of equipment and our facility in accordance with SOPs and Company policies.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Installs, operates, and maintains to a high level of reliability, central process control equipment and instrumentation including but not limited to programmable controllers, motor controllers and wiring.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Troubleshoots and makes minor and major repairs of equipment to prevent or minimize equipment downtime.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Responsible for performing a variety of skilled duties to include but not limited to the following: painting, carpentry, cement masonry, plumbing, dry wall and/or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing Simplot owned and operated building facilities. </span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ensures that equipment including, but not limited to batteries, forklifts, chargers, pumps, motors, doors, dock levelers, hydraulic systems and product transport systems are properly maintained following the specifications of the Company or the manufacturer. </span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Disassembles and reassembles equipment throughout the warehouse area including, but not limited to motors, gearboxes, vales, hydraulic systems, coupler, alignment systems, and weighing systems.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities as required by the Company and manufacture standards.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Maintains all shop inventories, tools, and equipment. Creates, performs, and completes work orders in the system as assigned or as needed.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Identifies parts needed for work to be done, conducts inventory searches and locates parts.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Documents, monitors, maintains, and assists with reporting of shift events, logging predictive maintenance data and assists with work planning utilizing information systems and productivity software. </span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Maintains necessary level of communication with team members and other support groups and does so in a participative management style conducive with operations goals.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">May assist with training other plant personnel.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Coordinates or schedule work as required.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ensures that additional accountabilities require by management are handled in a manner necessary to meet operations standards. </span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Must supply own tools of the trade.
