Additionally, this position is responsible for calculation of annual tax provisions. This position will be eligible for hybrid work status after training.</div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Duties</H2> </div><div><div> <ul> <li>Import, reconcile and maintain financial data within the Corptax software system to be used in calculating the annual income tax provisions and returns.</li> <li>Create workpapers that support the tax provisions and tax returns following specific procedures required by Olympus’ independent auditors.</li> <li>Collect and reconcile state income tax apportionment data for use in preparing state and local income tax returns.</li> <li>Develop responses to tax auditor inquiries on federal and state income tax audits.</li> <li>Determine tax consequences of various corporate and sales tax issues using Checkpoint and BNA on-line research tools.</li> <li>Import, reconcile and maintain financial data within various Excel worksheets to be used in calculating quarterly tax provisions.</li> <li>Prepare monthly tax account rollforwards and reconciliations with supporting workpapers.</li> <li>Review company purchases to determine whether use tax should be remitted to applicable jurisdictions.</li> <li>Perform all other related duties as assigned.</li> </ul> </div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Qualifications</H2> </div><div>Required: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent knowledge required.</li> <li>PC skills required including Word, Excel and Tax Accounting Software.</li> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li> </ul></div></div></div>Why join Olympus?
