The Paramedic will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect clinical care to patients. The Paramedic will competently function as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide patient and community-centered care. The Paramedic serves as an advocate for the patient and their family and intercedes on their behalf by acting as a liaison for patients and their families with respect to their rights and beliefs. The Paramedic will utilize their expertise of evidenced based medical practice to manage unexpected and emergent situations, to mitigate and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses in a prompt and professional manner.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>We are currently staffing for a Full-time Day Shift Paramedic for one of our industrial clients near Cameron, LA. </strong></p> <p><strong>Rotational Schedule: 7 days on 7 days off 12 hour night shift 6:30p-6:30a </strong></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Key Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Operate ambulance equipment and respond to radio transmissions.</li> <li>Coordinate with the team responding to an emergency.</li> <li>Provide emergency care in basic and advanced life support</li> <li>Respond to accidents and multiple traumas applying the principles of Advanced Trauma Life Support;</li> <li>Assist with minor/routine medical cases when not responding to emergency medical cases as directed by the Physician and Clinical Team Leader.</li> <li>Prepares patients for and safely transports them to the emergency department of a hospital or other healthcare facility.</li> <li>Evaluate the patient’s condition on the scene and perform a preliminary diagnosis;
