This role is essential to ensuring patient well-being through expert assessment, intervention, and coordination of care in alignment with professional and organizational standards.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">How You’ll Contribute </H2> </div><div><p>The Advanced Care Paramedic will hold a comprehensive range of responsibilities designed to maintain excellence in emergency response and patient care, including but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Upholding all standards of practice consistent with the provincial regulatory bodies to ensure all actions comply with the highest professional and ethical requirements.</li> <li>Strict adherence to International SOS' established Procedures and Processes to maintain uniformity and quality in service delivery.</li> <li>Demonstrating a thorough understanding and application of the Service Delivery Standards, contributing actively to the Quality Improvement Program, and striving to meet these benchmarks continuously.</li> <li>Managing medical records with precision and confidentiality, ensuring storage and retrieval processes meet organizational and legal standards.</li> <li>Providing patient management that reflects professionalism, compassion, and a customer-centric approach at all times.</li> <li>Ensuring all medical equipment and transport vehicles are maintained in a state of readiness around the clock to facilitate timely medical retrieval services.</li> <li>Participating actively in medical retrieval operations, bringing expertise and agility to dynamic environments.</li> <li>Engaging in mandatory annual skills assessment programs, including basic life support and other competencies identified for ongoing professional development.</li> <li>Operating within the defined clinical scope aligned with the incumbent’s professional licenses, ensuring safe and effective clinical interventions.</li> <li>Managing incoming calls promptly and accurately, following Standard Operating Policies and Procedures (SOPP) to assure responsiveness and quality service.</li> <li>Executing daily and nightly operational duties as assigned, ensuring seamless service continuity.</li> <li>Conducting patient triage when required, applying clinical judgment to prioritize care effectively.</li> <li>Actively participating in internal training initiatives, both as a learner and contributor, including preparation and delivery of educational sessions to foster team competency.</li> <li>Contributing to equipment maintenance programs by identifying potential issues and liaising with maintenance teams to uphold safety and effectiveness.</li> <li>Monitoring and managing stock inventories, ensuring supplies, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), are sufficient, in date, and stored in compliance with infection control practices.</li> <li>Documenting patient care meticulously and in a timely manner, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and confidentiality of medical records.</li> <li>Participating in meetings, committees, and working groups that aim to enhance operational effectiveness and patient outcomes.</li> <li>Assisting with the development and review of procedural documentation to promote consistent and effective practice.</li> <li>Engaging proactively in continuous quality improvement initiatives by identifying risks and contributing to quality-related reporting.</li> <li>Embracing additional duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the organization’s mission.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">The Talent We’re Looking For </H2> </div><div><p><br><strong>Must-haves (minimum requirements):</strong><br>• Work experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic <br>• ACLS <br>• Exceptional collaboration with other groups and the ability to work under pressure<br>• Current BC registration<br>• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record<br>• Alignment with our values of expertise,passion,respect and care</p> <p><br><strong>Preference for:</strong><br>• Experience in an industrial setting <br>• A high level of knowledge and the ability to interpret relevant medical and operational guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures<br>• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite<br>• Collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value<br>• Hold others accountable, and expect others to do the same</p></div></div></div><p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">By joining International SOS, you will contribute to a global network dedicated to protecting people and organisations.
