Beacon offers flexible schedules (4 x 10s or 3 x 12s) which promote work/life balance.</p> <p> </p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li><strong>Comprehensive Care:</strong> Support our primary care, family practice clinic in Fairbanks.</li> <li><strong>Diverse Services:</strong> From x-rays to chronic disease management, sports physicals, and immunizations, you'll be involved in a wide range of services.</li> <li><strong>Team Environment:</strong> Be part of a passionate team dedicated to rock star customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and having fun!</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Qualifications </b></H2> </div><div><ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Active Alaska License for NP</li> <li>Active BLS, ACLS and DEA</li> <li>Minimum 3-5 years of relevant family practice and urgent care experience</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Key Responsibilities </b></H2> </div><div><p>• Provides primary care medical services for assigned patients, including preventive physical examinations, evaluation and treatment of injuries and illnesses, and referrals to appropriate specialties or facilities.<br>• Orders, performs, interprets and analyzes diagnostic tests as appropriate<br>• Prescribes medication, therapy and other specialized medical care as appropriate<br>• Performs appropriate medical procedures within the provider's scope of the practice<br>• Considers thorough range of treatment/preventive options and arrives at a recommended course of action that is age appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable<br>• Appropriately manages patient care and health status following initiation of treatment/preventive plan, and monitors and adjusts as warranted<br>• Communicates effectively with patients and family so that they understand their diagnosis, treatment plans, and need for follow-up care<br>• Educates and encourages patients to become active participants in their own healthcare-related behavior and provides patient education materials<br>• Documents within the electronic medical record system (Athena), according to established guidelines to facilitate ongoing quality of care in a timely manner<br>• Delegates direct and indirect patient care activities to appropriate personnel<br>• Takes actions to ensure continuity of care for patients<br>• Physician team members collaborate with PA and NP members as needed<br>• All providers are expected to become DOT certified within 3 months of their hire date</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Physical Demands and Working Conditions</b></H2> </div><div><p>Work conditions are such that significant time will be spent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, assisting with positioning patients, and include some lifting.</p></div></div></div><p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">By joining International SOS, you will contribute to a global network dedicated to protecting people and organisations.
