As a <strong>permanent full time role</strong>, the Security Specialist, Assistance you will join a fast paced role providing or supporting the delivery of professional and effective security assistance services for clients of International SOS by addressing the security threats and risk challenges.</p> <div>Our security teams play a critical role in supporting organisations during major global and regional crises. From responding to large-scale emergencies to navigating evolving geopolitical challenges, this role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to high-impact situations worldwide.</div> <div> </div> <div> <ul> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Rotating Roster, 13-hour shifts, <strong>No Night Shifts</strong></li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Office based role located near Wynyard Station, Sydney.</li> </ul> </div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Key responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Deliver high-quality security risk assessments, advice, and the coordination of security assistance on a profile and itinerary-specific basis to travellers, international assignees, domestic nationals, and client risk managers.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Receive and assess all security related calls and ascertain the assistance requirements of Intl.SOS clients.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Give security advice to callers, employers, employees and organise appropriate security assistance accordingly.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Contribute to operational readiness by carrying out tasking to maintain and develop the security provider network and internal Concepts of Operations.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Coordinate and oversee responses to security requests for assistance, including the production of Plans of Action (POA) for specific Requests for Information (RFAs) as required.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>About you</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Minimum 2 year experience in security intelligence or related field: military, NGO, journalism or similar is mandatory.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Risk and Crisis management experience in geo-political scenarios covering ANZ and Pacific regions. </li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">International work experience, including in more challenging risk environments, is desirable.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Experience working in a customer/client focused role, is desirable.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Strong knowledge of political and security landscape within Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands and global security issues.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to explain complex situations to non-expert audiences.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Ability to critically analyse multiple streams of information under time pressure.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Demonstrated experience in the application of risk assessments.</li> <li style="list-style-type:disc">Minimum requirement of degree level (or relevant professional taring) in a field related to security, risk management, international politics or international relations.</li> </ul></div></div></div>
