Exercises proficiency in a variety of skill areas; for example: </span></span> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Installation of electrical equipment, motors, starters, conduit, wire, etc.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Repair of electrical tools and equipment, including power tools, test equipment, etc.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Troubleshooting of AC (alternating current), DC (direct current) and variable frequency drives, instruments, and control systems.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">PM (preventative maintenance) DC motors and other electro-mechanical components (brakes, clutches, solenoids, etc.).</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Recalibrating instruments, sensors, control valves, etc.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Installation and programming of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and its use in troubleshooting.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Documentation of electrical systems (both hardware and software).</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Maintenance of files on motor equipment and PM including drawings and schematics for permanent records.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Maintenance and troubleshooting of high and medium voltage equipment including MCC’s, transformers, switchgear, and substations.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Manufacturing of electrical control systems including panel layout, wiring, installation, etc.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Ability to program and maintain HMI’s</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Assisting with mechanical maintenance activities.</span></span></li> </ul> </li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Maintains acceptable levels of housekeeping in electric shop areas.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Maintains operations by reading, interpreting, and applying complex written instructions in the form of Standard Operating Procedures and other written instructions.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Performs other duties as may be assigned by Electrical Supervisor.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Follow CMMS procedures to report follow-up work and work found on PM’s.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Consistently practices safe working habits and actively work to promote safety to others.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Assure completion of work assignments when working alone or with assistance from other mechanics. Demonstrate the ability to work independently.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Comply and understand NFPA 70E.</span></span></li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills</H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">High School Diploma or GED</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Min 5 Years Electrical Manufacturing Experience or education/experience combined.</span></span></li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Physical Requirements</H2> </div><div><p style="margin-left:24.0px"><span style="font-size:12.0px"><span style="font-family:Aptos, sans-serif">Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions often exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, grease, oils, dust, and dirty working conditions. Work involves standing, climbing, walking on elevated catwalks, working at heights, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
