You will help maintain order, monitor inmate safety and behavior, respond to emergencies, operate secure systems, and support the daily operation of the facility.<br><br></p> <p> </p> <p>In this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Help maintain safety, security, and order throughout the facility</li> <li>Monitor inmate movement, behavior, and well-being</li> <li>Respond to fights, medical emergencies, and other critical incidents</li> <li>Conduct searches, head counts, and security checks</li> <li>Operate cameras, doors, alarms, and other control systems</li> <li>Prepare accurate logs and incident reports</li> <li>Help prevent escapes, contraband, and injury to inmates, staff, and visitors</li> <li>Support daily operations including meals, visitation, recreation, and clinic security<br><br></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>This position offers the chance to build a meaningful career in law enforcement while serving Sedgwick County with integrity, professionalism, and purpose.<br><br></p> <p> </p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li> <li>No record of criminal conviction, diversion, or expungement of any felony or crime of dishonesty, or the equivalent under the uniform code of military justice.</li> </ul> <p> </p><p> </p> <p>Applicants have rights under Federal Employment Laws.
