This role is critical to supporting R&D activities by ensuring the effective design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of hazardous gas monitoring and alarming systems across multiple Corning Valley locations. In this position, you will serve as the technical expert for the Sullivan Park Hazardous Gas Monitoring System (HGMS), including its electronic controls, software, communication systems, and user interfaces. You will play a key role in protecting employees, facilities, and company assets by applying engineering expertise, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices to life safety systems. This role requires a highly collaborative engineer who is comfortable working across disciplines, partnering with laboratory owners, project managers, emergency response teams, facility operations, and external vendors to deliver safe, compliant, and reliable monitoring systems.
