Purpose of Position: This role supports research and development projects by fabricating and assembling prototype parts and equipment with precision and efficiency. Required Skills/Experience/Education: <ul> <li>Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.</li> <li>4 years of applicable machine shop experience or military equivalent, or Journeyman or Class “A” status.</li> <li>OR Minimum 2-year Machine Tool Technology degree.</li> <li>OR Certificate in a relevant field with a minimum of 1-year experience. </li> </ul> Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Fabricate and/or assemble prototype parts and equipment using ideas and designs.</li> <li>Set up and operate a variety of machines including: o CNC Lathes o 3 and 5-axis CNC Mills o Wire EDM o Surface Grinders o Drill Presses o Manual Lathes o Manual Mills o Straight Vertical Milling Machines.</li> <li>Write and/or edit existing machine programs to produce parts that meet design specifications and company quality standards.</li> <li>Use precision measuring tools to inspect finished parts for accuracy.</li> <li>Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve machining process issues.</li> <li>Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.</li> <li>Experience with Mastercam, SolidWorks, or NC programming software preferred. </li> <li>5-axis machining experience is preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. </li> </ul> Job Information: <ul> <li>A basic demonstration of skills is required.</li> <li>This position operates on 2nd shift.
