The primary purpose of this position is: Leads preventative maintenance activities, troubleshoots processes and process equipment, and executes equipment repairs/modifications. This position includes significant duties such as: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"> Performs routine changeovers including, but not limited to, lot changes, end of arm tooling changes, and mold changes. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Perform proper startup and shutdown procedures on equipment and verification of equipment status. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Assist operations team with routine line issues, resets, and restarts. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Completes required preventive maintenance at defined intervals. Routinely assesses the suitability of such intervals and scope covered and revises when necessary. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Trains and mentors other associates within maintenance and operations. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Monitor output quality and quantity; troubleshoot as needed to make necessary machine and parameter adjustments where applicable; and alleviate minor jams. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Troubleshoots equipment breakdowns and performs mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance whenever required to ensure uninterrupted customer supply. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Utilize available resources to diagnose and resolve equipment issues prior to escalation. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Assists with engineering activities in equipment modifications and improvements. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Process tuning equipment to meet or exceed quality expectations, within validated state. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Works with quality and operations to evaluate and address non-conformances, product quality defects, and other output issues. This includes verifying the correct set-up of machines and auxiliary equipment. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Works with hand tools and/or power tools while troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance (PM), or repairing equipment. Demonstrates safe techniques and proper use of all tools. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Uses inventory management systems to obtain replacement parts for corrective/ preventative maintenance, and proactive replacement efforts. Identifies and rectifies any discrepancies in inventory and future order needs. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Document all troubleshooting and maintenance activities in appropriate Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Completes production records / forms recording relevant data onto forms or via electronic data entry in Maximo or other systems. Ensures accuracy and good documentation practices per company and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Communicates status of technical issues within the maintenance team and to operations team. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Maintain clean tooling for extruders, injection molding equipment, assembly equipment, and other manufacturing equipment. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Repairs, rebuilds, adjusts, inspects, and monitors production and/or facility related equipment and machinery. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Supports validations from a mechanical perspective. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Complies with safety systems and procedures such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out, NFPA-70 E Arc Flash, spills, and machine guarding at all times. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Responsible for hazardous waste removal. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Participates in Kaizen and Lean activities as necessary to drive continuous improvement initiatives. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Performs other duties as required to meet the needs of the department and company. </li> </ul> Working Conditions: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Exposure to industrial machinery, moving parts, electrical and other energy sources. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including, but not limited to, lab coats, hair/beard covers, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, safety shoes etc. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Exposure to fumes and chemicals such as cleaners, inks, and solvents. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Exposure to high frequency noise. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds and up to 65 pounds occasionally. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Adherence to plant safety requirements, OSHA and QSR/GMP/ISO guidelines as applicable. </li> </ul> Education: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Associates Degree, Technical Certificate program or equivalent experience. </li> </ul> Experience: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">3-5 years manufacturing experience, with 2 years of responsibilities for equipment maintenance troubleshooting or equivalent military experience. </li> </ul> The range for this position is $31.00 hourly rate - $34.50 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
