enters transactions into the computer system; moves materials to and from production; and ships product. <h1>This position includes significant duties such as:</h1> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Unloads incoming cargo trailers/containers while ensuring material is not damaged.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Receives incoming materials and enters these items into the ERP system of record to ensure correct accountability and control.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Writes receivers and enters information into the ERP system as required.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Coordinates supply of all raw materials requisitioned to and from production.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Maintains records of raw materials transferred from and delivered to the production departments for inventory control.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Counts, verifies, receives, and delivers all UPS, Federal Express, and other special carriers.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Maintains inventory accuracy by investigating daily incorrect inventory transactions and actively supports the inventory maintenance program.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Performs incoming inspections on received raw materials.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Performs cycle count of stored raw materials to ensure proper inventory control.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Coordinates, prepares, and ships finished goods for both continental and trans-continental destinations.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Coordinates weekly Lean Lane (direct) shipments as required.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Maintains recycled material for outgoing shipment to off-site location.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Processes UPS, DHL, FedEx, and next day air shipments to ensure prompt delivery of priority material.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Maintains organization and control of quarantine cage.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Provide training to other Corning employees or contractors on various topics as assigned and maintain all required training as well as any certifications.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Observes all safety, environmental and quality system standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Cross-trains in both Shipping and Receiving; provides coverage as needed.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <h1> </h1> <h1>Working Conditions:</h1> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Exposure to industrial machinery, moving parts, electrical and other energy sources.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Works under changing weather conditions (hot/cold) year-round in warehouse environment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Works at heights up to 32 feet above ground level.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Frequently lifts and/or moves materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifts and/or moves material weighing up to 65 pounds.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including, but not limited to, lab coats, hair/beard covers, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, safety shoes etc.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Exposure to fumes and high frequency noise.</li> </ul> <h1> </h1> <h1>Education:</h1> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">High school diploma or GED required.</li> </ul> <h1> </h1> <h1>Experience:</h1> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">6-12 months experience within a manufacturing/warehouse environment, preferably in shipping and receiving functions.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Computer and typing skills required ensuring proper input of information on incoming, outgoing, and inspected materials into the computer database.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">CDL License, preferred.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Experience operating a Yard Spotter, preferred.</li> </ul> The range for this position is $21.00 hourly rate - $24.75 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
