Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. Scope of Position The purpose of this position is to provide process and analytical support for US import/export operations and material flow. Serve as the NA OFC point of contact for FTZ management and control. Ensure optimal planning and management of FTZ and non-FTZ material flow to mitigate and/or recover US import duties, tariffs and fees. Provide plant-level support for import/export activities, control and trade compliance. Develop, implement and maintain supporting processes - with data visibility and rigor - to manage and account for OFC imports, exports and minimize the impact of all related spend. This position will work closely with the NA plants, Finance, Trade Compliance and 3rd Party FTZ partners to meet supporting business needs and objectives of the Global OFC Supply Chain organization. Day to Day Responsibilities <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Manage US import/export data for spend visibility and management of applicable duties, tariffs and fees. This includes collaboration with all NA plants and business Finance for month-over-month accounting.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Third party point of contact with NA OFC FTZ service providers and partners for FTZ operations; lead activities for business process management, trade compliance, improvement and control.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Coordinate US duty drawback activities; provide analytical support and maintain process rigor for month-over-month cost recovery. The range for this position is $71,450.00 - $98,244.00 assuming full time status.
