<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Role Purpose</H2> </div><div><p>Job is with OCS Division Engineering APAC Regional Engineering based in Asia to support all Optical Commercial Solutions (OCS) plants. Project assignment may involve travel percentage from 25~50% between Taiwan, China, North America. Building strong process technical linkage with Division Engineering groups in North America, and Europe responsible for implement process improvement and new production introduction.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Key Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><p>● Implement OCS CSC program to ensure processes which run to global standard and execute process optimization and improvement with Plant Engineering and OCS Division Process Engineering (T2 Engineer).<br>● Follow Innovation Process Platform (IPP) to execute new production introduction <br>- Engage new product development on mass production process optimization with OCS Technology Engineering (TE) and optimize process for mass production.<br>- Transfer product and process to Manufacturing with Plant Engineering<br>● Lead or participate in projects of process improvements to address quality and yield issues, reduce production cycle times with T2 Engineer and Plant Engineering through PEx Methodology.<br>● Author process improvement capability plans. Complete technical reports for internal publication.<br>● Visibly support the establishment and maintenance of a safe work environment.<br>● Identify gaps in plants’ manufacturing capabilities with Plant Engineering and make recommendations to improve. Execute those improvements. <br>● Report on project activities on a pre-determined basis. Ensure results meet the Corning OCS requirements and standards.<br>● Job requires occasional travel to Corning plants for process development for new products, new operation, and process improvement projects.<br>● Individual must be capable of executing project assignments with minimal supervision.<br>● Project involved with:<br>- Connectivity production: Adapter, Connector, Cable Assembly (CAB & PNP) and Module.<br>- Micro-Optic production: Wavelength Management, Variable Optical Attenuators, Micro-Optics Components, Transceiver Optics, and Fiber Array Unit.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Experiences/Education - Required</H2> </div><div><p><strong>Education & Experience:</strong><br>● Optic, mechanical or Chemical/material related Bachelor or Master degree.<br>● 5+ years shop floor process engineering experience<br>● 3+ years international project experience involving new product development and new product development, prototyping, and optimization.<br>● 3+ years Project leading experience<br><br><strong>Required Skills:</strong><br>● Strong project management skills. Detail oriented and able to perform with limited supervision<br>● Good problems solving and analytical capabilities (particularly statistical analysis) through using DMIAC, KT, TRIZ…etc. <br>● Proactive, independent, flexible, quick learner<br>● Effective, high quality oral and written communication skills with English<br>● Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills. <br>● High initiative, able to work with a minimum of direction, and able to work in team environment <br>- Ability to build effective working relationships with others<br>- Ability to manage multiple priorities tasks<br>- Ability to contribute to the development of others<br>● Proactive, independent, flexible, quick learner<br>● Fluent skills with statistical tools<br>● Customer oriented; meets customer needs with quality results<br>● Responsible for the accuracy of work performed; takes a proactive approach to ensure quality of work<br><br><strong>Soft Skills:</strong><br>● Self starter who is able to satisfy their objectives and timelines with a minimal amount of supervision.<br>● Ability to work in a team based environment and participate on a matrix project team.<br>● Results oriented with a high commitment level<br>● 6 sigma skill or project management.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Experiences/Education - Desired</H2> </div><div><p>● DMAIC GB Certification.<br>● PMP Certification would be a plus<br>● 3+ years working experience with CAD/CAM capability especially fixture design and improvement, or precision cutting/finishing capability. <br>● 3+ years experience with optic product and process tuning and optimization, such as polishing, epoxy dispensing/curing…etc.<br>● Knowledge of optical inspection process, such as insertion loss, core pitch…etc.</p></div></div></div>
