Purpose</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The role supports plant operations by ensuring the timely procurement of quality materials in alignment with the manufacturing plan, while executing procurement strategies that assure supply and optimize total cost of ownership.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong> </strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Day to Day Responsibilities:</strong></span><br><br><br></p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Execute tactical and technical procurement activities for assigned materials, equipment, and services, including supplier communication, purchase order processing, delivery monitoring, expediting, and billing issue resolution.</span></li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Submit and coordinate new vendor setup requests within the system.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure compliance with Global Buying Policy while protecting Corning’s intellectual property.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manage supplier relationships and maintain key contractual documents, including supply agreements, pricing agreements, NDAs, and certificates of insurance.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier relations, supporting supplier meetings, quality audits, and effective plant supply performance.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Track and communicate supplier performance metrics related to quality, cost, delivery, and lead time, while partnering with Quality, Warehouse, and Product Engineering to resolve rejected materials and support corrective actions.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,
