Together we create and sustain Corning’s manufacturing as a differential advantage.</span></p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Role Purpose</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Provide Process Engineering/ Measurement support to CSCL production line to establish stable operating performance.</li> <li>Implement process and equipment improvements to achieve plant’s continuous improvement goals in cost, capacity, delivery and quality.</li> <li>Ensure a safe working environment within the facility.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Key Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><p>This person is expected to be plant measurement subject matter expert. His/her scope will mainly involve laser measurement, camera image analysis systems and pressure sensors etc. Major responsibility will include three parts:</p> <ul> <li>Support all measurement equipment and measurement systems.</li> <li>New measurement technology introduction:</li> <li>To be a Point of contact with US division measurements groups.</li> <li>Transfer technical documents to plant, digest technical know-how and deliver training/ technical guide to cross functional groups as necessary.</li> <li>Qualify measurement systems to meet manufacturing needs.</li> <li>Improve plant existing measurement systems:</li> <li>Foresee capability and capacity issues during new product introduction and daily operation.</li> <li>Standardize methods and procedures for measurement systems based on division’s guidelines.</li> <li>Support on-going process improvement projects through new measurement developments. Both lead and as part of project team.</li> <li>Seek cost reduction opportunity with technology improvement.</li> <li>Maintain plant measurement system reliability:</li> <li>Work with plant resource to establish PM activity for measurement systems</li> <li>Establish and monitor ongoing control system.</li> <li>Develop annual MSA plan and coordinate relevant resources to achieve MSA goal.</li> <li>Fundamental understanding of measurement system variation.</li> <li>Minimize machine down time, leverage plant resources for corrective and preventive actions.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Experiences/Education - Required</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>BS in electrical control or automation or related engineering.</li> <li>Gauge/Measurement experience.</li> <li>Control/automation experience</li> <li>Work in MNC</li> <li>Project management experience</li> <li>People and team management experience</li> <li>The candidate is expected with good English skill, both written and verbal</li> <li>Good understanding of MSA from AIAG and National</li> <li>Good understanding of Quality Assurance.</li> <li>Knowledge of measurement industry technologies.</li> <li>Statistical analysis knowledge is required, for instance: hypothesis test, DOE, commonality analysis etc., MiniTab or JMP software experience.</li> <li>Measurement Institute, qualified measurement personal certificate preferred.</li> <li>Ability to interact effectively with internal groups to assure measurement system works effectively and efficiently.</li> <li>Rational thinking of troubleshooting skill, experience of KT, DMAIC etc.</li> <li>Ability to set actions and follow through with a sense of urgency.</li> <li>Ability to work under certain pressure, nature of self-oriented and motivated.</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
