The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.</span></p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Process Automation Supervisor</H2> </div><div><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Serve as working leader for group of automation and controls engineers driving new equipment & system introductions, process improvements and cost reduction projects. </span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Key Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Lead team of Automation and Controls engineers in the development startup, and scaleup of high volume discreet manufacturing equipment. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Develop and maintain learning plans for engineering team </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Provide controls and mechanical engineering expertise in support of new equipment & system introductions, cost reductions, maintenance, and productivity improvements. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Interface with external system integrators and machine builders to successfully deliver fully integrated automation equipment to Corning’s plants on-time, on-budget, and that satisfy performance measures. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Actively participate / direct all phases of the project including design, fabrication, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel and sustainment. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Internal subject matter expert in control systems (PLC, HMI, Motion Control Systems, Machine Vision), system integration, sensors and electro-mechanical devices. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Ensure all controls engineering projects are documented properly with electrical drawing packages conforming to Corning standards. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Work with project team to solve automation problems, resolve project related issues, and develop fundamental understanding of technical / process requirements critical to system success </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Individual must be capable of executing project assignments as well as managing projects, in a team based environment, with minimal supervision. </span></li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Experiences/Education -
