Aim to maintain UK Power Networks Services' quality management system to ensure it can design, build, finance, operate and maintain primary electrical infrastructure for its clients.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Contribute to the review of existing and the development of new procedures/processes. Procedures include those from central UK Power Networks group and those which are UK Power Networks Services' project/contract specific. There will also be involvement in the communication, implementation and monitoring within the directorate;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Monitor compliance with ISO 9001: 2015, procedures, legal and moral obligations, and national, international and client standards. Plan project audits against agreed level 2, 3 and 4 schedules. Will undertake quality management system audits, produce audit reports and ensure findings are resolved promptly.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Assist and offer guidance to Project Managers in reviewing quality related project documents and requirements. Develop appropriate quality management system inductions, training and communication materials for the project team and subcontractors. Gather lessons learnt and maintains the project cost of poor quality process. Provide Project Managers with quality related updates for inclusion in monthly reports. Support any quality management system incident investigations.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Provide a monitoring function to ensure that suppliers, subcontractors and the services they provide exceed our quality management system expectations. This may include conducting external audits and undertaking random performance inspections of field teams to identify issues requiring improvement and highlighting good performance.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Monitor site certification of materials and equipment, including tool calibration, to ensure compliance with client and project requirements. To maintain associated project records to compile final data book documentation.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Facilitate third-party audits of UK Power Networks Services by external certification bodies. You will have also represent us at operational/project level with external partners.</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Skills, qualifications and experience:</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Essential</strong></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">HNC (minimum requirement) qualification in a discipline such as Quality Management, Construction, Project Management or Technical/Engineering or equivalent.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">As a minimum be a Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute with an aspiration to gain Chartered status, which we will support;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Have quality management system experience (not QC/inspection) gained in the construction industry (manufacturing based or other experience would not be suitable);</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Have demonstrable experience working UK CDM regulations (2015);</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Be a trained QMS Auditor/Internal QMS Auditor with experience in auditing to ISO 9001: 2015;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Have experience of root cause analysis</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Attain several client access passes and licenses that may be required to work within UK industries such as airports, defence, nuclear, rail and underground rail;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hold a valid UK driving licence</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Desirable</strong></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Flexible in your approach to work and be prioritise as directed by the Quality and Assurance Manager and Project Manager on assigned projects or contracts;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Audit to ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018 requirements would be desirable;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of ISO 55001: 2024, ISO 44001: 2017, ISO 19650-1: 2018, ISO 19650-2: 2018, ISO 19650-3: 2020 and ISO 19650-5: 2020 would be advantageous;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Be a team player and with other staff and clients within the business;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Have excellent communication, presentation, planning and decision making skills at all seniority levels;</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Can work with IT software packages such as Microsoft office;</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Health & Safety Responsibilities</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Managers and supervisors carry both legal and company responsibilities for ensuring the health and safety of their employees, those under their control and those who might be affected by the work undertaken, i.e. public, visitors and employees of other organisations.
