The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including several outreach centers as well as clinic- and community-based services.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>FLSA Status</b></H2> </div><div>Non-Exempt</div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Job Role Summary</b></H2> </div><div>The Licensed Crisis Clinician Specialist provides crisis intervention and support services to psychiatric consumers of all ages.</div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Provides crisis intervention and support services to psychiatric consumers of all ages.</li> <li>Conducts crisis mental health and substance abuse screenings for consumers and family members.</li> <li>Evaluates psychosocial status and needs for the development of an appropriate treatment/crisis plan.</li> <li>Provides daily living skills education when appropriate.</li> <li>Serves as a referral source for consumers, working cooperatively with community resources/agencies.</li> <li>Maintains appropriate documentation for all crisis and case management services, including but not limited to, social, psychiatric and medical histories and presenting problems with complete mental status exam.</li> <li>Provides psychiatric consultation to Eskenazi Emergency Room and Medical/Surgical Unit of Eskenazi Hospital.</li> <li>Conducts screening for suicide and homicide risk.</li> <li>Screens for acute care services, including Inpatient, SAS and Partial Programs.</li> <li>Determines level of care for consumers.</li> </ul> </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Job Requirements</b></H2> </div><div><ul><li>Master's degree in Human Services field with license required (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) <li>Valid Indiana driver's license</ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px"><b>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul><li>Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of consumer served. <li>Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.<li>Advanced critical thinking regarding assessment, crisis intervention, within a strength-based framework.<li>Practice in mental health and addictions treatment. <li>Training in the use and side effects of psychotropic medications.<li>Ability to gather, interpret and analyze client data.<li>Experience in providing risk assessments.<li>Ability to provide case presentation to medical staff. <li>CPR, CPI and basic first aid.<li>Strong interpersonal skills/ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written communication.</ul><p></p>MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING BASIC COMPETENCIES IF APPLICABLE:<p></p><ul><li>Mental Status Exam<li>Medications<li>DSMIV<li>Legal<li>CPI<li>Functional Assessment (HAP)<li>CPR<li>Annual Education<li>Confidentiality<li>Addictions</ul></div></div></div><p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center's primary mission is to serve individuals with serious mental illness and chronic addiction as well as seriously emotionally disturbed children and their families.
