Therefore, you can anticipate learning about several different specialties within the perioperative world including: orthopedics, plastics, thoracics, neurosurgery, ortho/spine, gender affirmation surgeries, laparoscopic surgery, general surgery, trauma, and more! </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is an individual with specialized education who functions as a member of the operating room team to help ensure safe, efficient, and successful surgical procedures/outcomes. The CST handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures; has an understanding of the procedures being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon; has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative phase; and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.</span> </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Competitive pay and benefits. </span></span><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> </span></span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Job Requirements:</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Current CST certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or has completed a military surgical technology program.
