ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a Project Developer to join our Growth team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Director, Development – Canada, you will play a key role in advancing TransAlta’s growth strategy by leading thermal and renewable energy projects from early-stage development through to Final Investment Decision, ensuring a seamless transition into construction. In this role, you will take ownership of project outcomes, working closely with internal subject matter experts and external stakeholders to move projects forward efficiently and strategically. You’ll set development priorities, manage budgets and schedules, and proactively identify and mitigate risks—all while ensuring alignment with TransAlta’s long-term objectives and commitment to delivering high-quality, competitive projects. This position is based out of our Downtown Calgary Head Office, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.
