ABOUT THE ROLE We’re hiring a Senior Contracts Specialist to support TransAlta’s Growth Supply Chain team. In this full-time role, you’ll work closely with project teams to develop and execute contracting strategies for major construction and EPC initiatives. Your focus will be on early-stage contract planning, formation, and negotiation with key vendors and contractors. You’ll help shape customized contracting plans for each project, ensuring alignment with scope, risk, and commercial objectives. This role requires strong experience in contract development, administration, and supplier relationship management. You’ll provide commercial leadership and help drive value across TransAlta’s growth portfolio. This position is based out of our Downtown Calgary Head Office, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. lead and negotiate strategic project agreements and implement supply arrangements that meet operational and corporate objectives (includes preparation of bids/proposals, RFX, contract term sheets, agreements, long term service & maintenance agreements, major equipment supply, letter of intent, and EPC contracts) and EPC agreements that support engineering, and construction.</li> <li Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation through PMAC/SCMA or working to accreditation would be in asset to this position</li> <li
