ABOUT THE ROLE TransAlta is seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support a diverse and evolving portfolio. The initial focus may include Site Services, such as Electrical and Instrumentation, Scaffolding, Examination Services, Mechanical Services, Boiler Maintenance, and Environmental Testing Services. However, the role may also expand to categories across Engineering, Projects or or other areas as business priorities shift. The successful candidate will lead sourcing strategies, competitive bids, negotiations, and contracting initiatives to drive cost efficiency, manage risk, and ensure reliable supply. This role works closely with business stakeholders to align sourcing decisions with operational needs, manage key supplier relationships, and optimize total cost of ownership. This role is based out of our head office in downtown Calgary with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office & 2 days at home). This is a permanent position. sans-serif">Experience supporting internal stakeholders within utilities, services, or manufacturing environments.</li> <li style="margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 0.0cm
