ABOUT THE ROLE TransAlta is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at the Highvale Mine (SunHills) site. Reporting to the Supervisor & Planner, Maintenance, this role is suited for a proactive and well-organized individual who thrives in a challenging work environment. The ideal candidate values safety in all activities while ensuring that assignments are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. This is a full-time, safety sensitive position located at our Highvale Mine (SunHills) site, located just south of Wabamun Lake, approximately 65 kilometers west of Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment testing. This position is part of the USW and is governed by the terms of the collective agreement.
