Acting as the official representative of the Technical Training organization on-site, this role ensures consistent application of the approved technical training model and BOE Technical Training pillar, without day-to-day supervision. You will independently drive site training initiatives, partner with site leadership, and foster a strong culture of technical development to build workforce capability. The Specialist must demonstrate autonomy, decision-making capability, deep understanding of manufacturing floor operations, and the ability to influence across levels. This position is critical to the successful development of technical skills, onboarding of new employees, and the overall effectiveness of the plant’s workforce. Your key responsibilities include: <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Independently lead the deployment of the BOE Technical Training pillar within the site.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Adapt corporate training standards to site-specific needs while maintaining alignment with regional strategies.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Serve as the primary technical training point of contact for site leadership and operational teams.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Deliver structured technical training sessions covering theoretical and practical components.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Translate complex manufacturing concepts into accessible, action-oriented training for all skill levels.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Ensure employees gain practical application of learned skills through hands-on activities.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Partner with HR and functional managers to support new hire technical training.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Mentor and guide OJT Trainers to deliver high-quality, consistent hands-on training.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Conduct periodic reviews of OJT delivery to verify training effectiveness and employee proficiency.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Conduct competency assessments, observations, and qualification of employees on critical tasks.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Identify and address technical skill gaps through customized retraining initiatives.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Manage training assignments and completions within the Learning Management System (LMS).</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Maintain training records and ensure traceability in the Electronic Document Management System (eDMS).</li> </ul> What are we looking for? <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Minimum 7 years of experience working directly in a manufacturing environment (e.g., as a technician, operator, or mechanic)</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and facilitating technical training for operators and production staff</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Solid understanding of production floor operations and hands-on experience operating or supporting manufacturing equipment</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and electronic Document Management Systems (eDMS) for training administration</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Proficiency in both English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">A proactive, results-driven approach and commitment to fostering a continuous learning culture</li> </ul> Ball Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
