<h2><span style="font-size:16.0px"><b>Brady West Socal is looking for an estimator to join our team.</b></span></h2> <p><b>Responsibilities for this position include:</b></p> <ul> <li>Recommend short-term objectives and long-range sales/marketing goals including pricing and job selection policies.</li> <li>Bidding, selling, and marketing services and products, including monitoring market and technical trades.</li> <li>Participate and be accountable for development and implementation of marketing plans.</li> <li>Manage and coordinate current projects by documenting and interacting with other departments and clients for proper progress of jobs.</li> <li>Process contracts and change orders in a timely manner.</li> <li>Assist in determining amount of monthly progress billings.</li> <li>Ensure that the proper information is provided to other departments.</li> <li>Review, understand, and monitor contract language and note concerns for the Manager’s review.</li> <li>Establish qualified subcontractor bids and scope in determining contracts.</li> <li>Conform to all company policies and procedures.</li> <li>Attend and participate in all required company training programs.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> <li><b>To be successful in this position, the candidate must have:</b></li> <li>Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Must be organized and detail oriented.</li> <li>Must be able to work efficiently and control paperwork.</li> <li>Must be able to work effectively under pressure.</li> <li>Must be able to work with little supervision.</li> <li>Must display the ability to effectively work with mathematics.</li> <li>Must display the ability to effectively work with people.</li> <li>Must possess strong leadership skills.</li> <li>Must be a team player.</li> <li>Must display the ability to work with and visualize the complete drawing set including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscape and civil drawings.</li> <li>Must understand specification requirements, current code, and industry standards.</li> <li>Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Word and Excel programs.</li> <li>Must be fully knowledgeable in Quick Bid and Brady’s Quick Bid database of material and labor codes and assemblies.</li> <li>Must understand and be able to effectively utilize Viewpoint management programs and reports.</li> <li>Must possess knowledge of the components which make up Brady scopes of work, including Lath, Plaster, EIFS, Fireproofing, Cold-Formed Framing, Gypsum Board and Gypsum Board Finishes, Doors Frames and Hardware, Acoustic Ceilings, and Specialties, with a general understanding of how these components interface with other trade scopes of work.</li> </ul>
