Position Summary The Quality Engineer ensures that automation products, equipment, and manufacturing processes meet quality standards and customer expectations. This role develops and improves quality systems, leads root-cause investigations, supports new product introduction, and collaborates with engineering, production, and suppliers to continuously improve quality within an automation-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Quality Systems & Compliance <ul> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in alignment with ISO 9001 or other applicable standards.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Create and update documentation including control plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, and audit procedures.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Conduct internal audits and support external or customer audits.</li> </ul> Production & Process Quality <ul> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Monitor production processes and automation equipment to ensure consistent output and product reliability.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Analyze quality data (scrap, defects, downtime) and identify improvement opportunities.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize automated processes for quality and efficiency.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their long-term effectiveness.</li> </ul> Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving <ul> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Lead or support investigations using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, or DMAIC.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Conduct failure analysis on components, assemblies, and automated systems.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process capability.</li> </ul> New Product Introduction (NPI) <ul> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Participate in design reviews, providing manufacturability and quality input for automated assembly lines.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Validate new automation equipment, tooling, and inspection systems.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Support process capability studies (CPk, PpK) and first article inspections.</li> </ul> Supplier Quality <ul> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Evaluate and qualify new suppliers for automation components, electrical systems, and mechanical parts.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Perform supplier audits and track supplier performance metrics.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Partner with suppliers on quality improvement and issue resolution.</li> </ul> Testing & Inspection <ul> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Develop automated and manual inspection methods.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Support programming and optimization of vision systems, sensors, and automated test equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Maintain calibration of inspection tools and equipment.</li> </ul> Required Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">2–5+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, sensors, PLC-driven equipment, and automated assembly processes.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Proficiency in quality tools (SPC, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, control plans).</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Experience with ISO 9001 or comparable quality management standards.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.</li> <li style="font-family:'times new roman', times, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Strong
