We are currently seeking a 1st shift Assembly Machinist to set-up and operate manuel lathes, tapping press, and fit drill with our assembly departments. Assembly Machinist Job Functions: <ul> <li style="">Perform all duties as assigned in a safe and efficient manner with an emphasis on quality. Follow Company and departmental procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality. Follow all safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Report any unusual conditions or situations to Lead Person or Supervisor.</li> <li style="">Select and change fixtures, plugs, arbors, drill bits and taps.</li> <li style="">Set speed and stroke length of drill press, deburr parts and tap parts, use thread, and plug gauges.</li> <li style="">Run 1st piece part, make necessary adjustments to attain quality characteristics per print specifications and complete necessary paperwork to attain a set-up approval.</li> <li style="">Load parts on chuck or plug, check parts at designated intervals and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality characteristics of part per print specifications throughout machining operations.</li> <li style="">Package and tag parts, complete all required paperwork including SPC charting.</li> <li style="">Move parts to and from work area and scale as needed. Wash parts before running.</li> <li style="">Maintain all machine fluid levels and belts.</li> <li style="">Sign out all necessary gauging equipment from Q.A. and set gauges per print specifications</li> <li style="">Select and change cutting inserts, arbors, and plugs</li> <li style="">Set O.D. size, face size, groove size and chamfer size properly. True arbor. Set cutting tool speed and RPM speed properly. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the paid time off plan, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
