Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED required.</li> </ul> Purpose and Scope: This role is all about getting hands-on with the production process—turning raw materials into high-quality anti-friction bearings. As a Machine Operator, you’ll help keep things running smoothly, make sure we’re hitting our quality goals, and look for ways to make the process even better every day. Responsibilities: Production Setup and Operation <ul> <li>Set up, change over, and operate a variety of production equipment such as ring rolling, turning, heat treating, grinding, and assembly—most of which is computer controlled.</li> </ul> Measurement and Gauging <ul> <li>Perform basic measurements of bearing geometry using advanced computer-controlled gauging systems as well as precision tools including digital calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and metallurgical instruments.</li> </ul> Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting <ul> <li>Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance to avoid equipment issues.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve minor to moderate technical problems; occasionally participate in rebuilding equipment or sub-assemblies.</li> </ul> Production Information Management <ul> <li>Use plant information systems to interpret work queues, provide process feedback, track material needs, and log production events accurately.</li> </ul> Material Handling <ul> <li>Operate material handling equipment such as fork trucks, pallet lifts, semi-automatic lifters, and other tools to safely move in-process materials.</li> </ul> Process Control and Quality Assurance <ul> <li>Apply process control tools such as X-bar and R charts, histograms, and Pareto analysis to monitor and improve product quality.</li> <li>Identify, diagnose, and correct out-of-control conditions promptly.</li> <li>Ensure that non-conforming products or information are not processed further without appropriate review and communication.</li> </ul> Customer and Quality Focus <ul> <li>Understand internal and external customer technical requirements.</li> <li>Uphold quality standards by ensuring only conforming products are advanced through production.</li> </ul> Team Collaboration and Continuous Improvement <ul> <li>Actively participate in plant-based continuous improvement teams; occasionally serve as team facilitator.</li> <li>Contribute to the development and enhancement of training materials for future Machine Operators / Process Technicians.</li> <li>Support the training of new employees and engage in ongoing personal skill and business knowledge development.</li> </ul> <hr> <h3>Work Environment and Benefits</h3> <ul> <li>Climate-controlled facility year-round (air-conditioned in summer, heated in winter).</li> <li>Comprehensive training provided—prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.</li> <li>Opportunities for skill advancement and cross-training.</li> </ul> <hr> If you’re a hands-on learner with a focus on quality and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply and join our dynamic team!
