I. Purpose of Position Operate blade grinding equipment to produce high quality razor blades. II. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Procedures: <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li>Maintain and operate blade grinding machines in a high-speed manufacturing environment. </li> <li>Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls.</li> <li>Maintain specifications by observing quality standards and utilizing precision measurement equipment</li> <li>Resolve production problems to meet specifications and troubleshoot equipment; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.</li> <li>Keep machines and work area clean.</li> <li>Document actions by completing production and quality records.</li> </ul> III. Required Skills and Experience <ul> <li>Must be able to correctly read and interpret instruments and gages.</li> <li>Must be able to correctly calculate basic mathematics equations (addition, subtraction, division, percentages).</li> <li>2 years prior manufacturing experience. Examples: CNC Operator, Press Operator, Machine Operator, Molding Technician, or Maintenance background and/or related technical certification.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px;margin-top:16.0px"> <li>Good Interpersonal Skills.</li> <li>Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written.</li> <li>Excellent mechanical skills, both verbal and written.</li> <li>High speed machine/equipment operation.</li> <li>Demonstrates problem solving & trouble shooting skills.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of blue print reading.</li> <li>Demonstrates quality awareness & attention to detail.</li> </ul> Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
