JELD-WEN offers a great benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, disability, paid time off and holidays. <div> JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES </div> <ul type="disc"> <li style="">Design, develop, test, and support controls systems which include pneumatics, servos, VFD’s, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, pushbuttons and robotic integration</li> <li>Ensure electrical equipment fulfills all required compliance, safety, and environmental requirements.</li> <li>Read and comprehend plans and blueprints as appropriate to the trade.</li> <li>Perform and support changeovers and start-ups for all electrical equipment.</li> <li>Maintain and safely operate all tools and equipment used to accomplish tasks.</li> <li>Overtime will be required for assisting in shift electrician coverage, trouble calls regarding electrical matters, and meeting needs.</li> <li>Assist in determining, maintaining, and organizing electrical spare part inventories</li> <li style="">Support commissioning efforts for new projects and systems onsite at customer facilities</li> <li style="">Provide technical support and onsite troubleshooting and repair for customers</li> <li style="">Ensure all relevant safety objectives are observed for all work completed</li> <li style="">Create customer documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings</li> <li style="">Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standards and customer requirements</li> <li style="">Modifies systems upon customer’s request and documents the changes accordingly</li> <li style="">Communicate with shift managers and electricians to locate possible problem areas.</li> <li style="">Communicate with management to obtain job assignments, receive special instruction, report deficiencies, and communicate non-traditional tasks prior to starting</li> <li style="">Other duties as required or assigned by management</li> </ul> <div> QUALIFICATIONS </div> <ul type="disc"> <li style="">Valid Driver’s License</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li style="">2-4-year Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred</li> <li style="">1+ year of experience in process control and automation</li> <li style="">Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills</li> <li style="">Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environment</li> <li style="">Ability to balance multiple projects in an organized manner</li> <li style="">Ability to work independently and in team environments</li> <li style="">Working knowledge of MS Office productivity software</li> <li style="">Good understanding of mechanical principals is a plus</li> <li style="">Familiarity with reading and creating CAD drawings using AutoCAD Electrical is a plus</li> <li style="">Working knowledge with Allen Bradley PLCs and RSLogix is a plus</li> <li style="">Exposure to HMI / OIT Development using Rockwell and/or Wonderware software platforms is a plus</li> <li style="">Travel as required to support projects.
