You will report to the Manager of Advanced Analysis and Methods and be located at Cranberry, PA and can work in a hybrid environment. <h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Develop and execute design and analysis plans from preliminary through final design, translating performance and structural requirements into compliant engineering solutions using lessons learned and best practices.</li> <li>Qualify component designs using ANSYS-based thermal and structural FEA, closed‑form analytical methods, and Westinghouse internal engineering.</li> <li>Improve analysis quality and efficiency by implementing advanced methods, automation, and innovative tools.</li> <li>Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and component teams to ensure effective subsystem integration and resolve complex design and production issues.</li> <li>Partner with project managers and technical leads to align technical scope, schedules, and resources across programs.</li> <li>Demonstrate accountability, delivering high‑quality engineering work that meets safety, quality, and schedule expectations.</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications:</h3> <ul> <li>We will consider BS in Mechanical Engineering, (alternate degrees such as nuclear, aerospace, structural engineering with relevant experience).</li> <li>Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench and at least a familiarity with ANSYS Mechanical (APDL).</li> <li>Minimum of 6 years of experience required or 4 with an advanced degree.</li> <li>PE License (Preferred).</li> </ul> We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
