General Job Function: The Project Procurement Manager is responsible for multiple Procurement programs and projects, working with cross-functional teams to build and lead project procurement activities, engaging from the early project opportunity development phase through project execution and delivery. This role partners closely with Sales team, Project Management team, Engineering team, as well as Supply Chain SPE and SQO team, and leads all procurement activities in assigned programs to include opportunity forecasting and bid and proposal process, readiness for project bidding, LOA process, execution and delivery. This role supports internal customer’s goals by leading and executing supplier rationalization, quality and delivery on projects. This role also works to align strategies between commodity and Strategic Business Unit localization, plant rationalization and similar. This role is responsible for developing a sourcing plan that will minimize risks, generating savings and key terms and conditions through negotiation and project execution, monitoring active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate. This role is also responsible for Investigating, coordinating and communicating project changes. The successful candidate will support the Project Manager to assist with the project charter, benefit identification and resource requirements. The candidate will preferably have a strong Supply Chain (RFx, Supplier Relationship, Contract Management) and Technical background (i.e. instrumentation and controls, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to purchase equipment and services.
