This will include conducting electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections to ensure quality and safety standards. Additionally, you will require applying skills in the areas of electrical repair, machining, and mechanical maintenance. Additional nuclear service functions may be assigned as needed. You will report to the RES Shop Supervisor and the company will base you at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. We require this position on site 5 days per week. <h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Electrical inspections including operating electrical test equipment (Megger, DLOR, Fluke), motor test panels, and visual inspections on insulation systems (stators, rotors, heaters). You will also conduct verifications on stator windings and testing.</li> <li>Mechanical and visual inspections of products using testing equipment.</li> <li>Operate machine tools, electrical test equipment, welding equipment, overhead crane, jib crane, forklift trucks or other service equipment in the repair of nuclear equipment.</li> <li>Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, install, repair, and assemble basic equipment (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic).</li> <li>Set up and operate machine tools like drill presses, lathes, and milling machines.</li> <li>Conduct random wound stators and strip stators independently.</li> <li>Job planning, fabricating and the ability to operate electrical and electronic test equipment.</li> <li>Test motors, corona probe, panels, tip up, wedge tap and Run CSI.</li> <li>Small machining/balancing, Coordinated measuring machine (CMM), individual component total indicator run-outs, concentricity of components.</li> <li>Site specific training, Radiation safety, Hazard communication, Respiratory protection and rigging.</li> <li>Practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principals, Industrial Health & Safety, and ALARA principals, specific security requirements, and undestand the importance of observing both Westinghouse and customer license requirements.</li> <li>Apply Nuclear Safety Culture requirements.</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications:</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li> <li>2+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills.</li> <li>Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining plus required mathematics.</li> <li>Journeyman papers in electrical or machining</li> <li>ANSI II - Electrical (Winder); ANSI II - Mechanical (Machinist) and complete Qualifications as applicable</li> </ul> We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
