The Project Engineer is responsible for defining the project's work breakdown structure. The engineer is also responsible for estimation of efforts/costs, schedule development and maintenance, and resource planning, tracking, and management. Additionally, the Project Engineer identifies, tracks, and resolves complex technical issues. The engineer is further responsible for status reporting to senior/executive management and customers. These responsibilities are for complex engineering projects within the Global Instrumentation and Controls (GIC). Production organization. This role operates within a high‑mix, low‑volume, engineer‑to‑order (ETO) manufacturing environment, where products are frequently customized to unique customer specifications. We ask that you have the ability to manage dynamic production conditions, and cross‑functional coordination between engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure on‑time delivery of complex, non‑repetitive builds. You will report to the Sr. Manager Global I&C Production & IV&V and this role will be fully on-site in Warrendale, PA. <h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Lead the quoting of all new projects for the Global Instrumentation and Controls Production Facility</li> <li>Develop tools to effectively report performance to plan, including both schedule adherence and budget.</li> <li>Build processes and systems to facilitate complex production capacity decisions</li> <li>Provide status reports to executive leadership.</li> <li>Serve as the technical interface for project related requests between Production and the internal Westinghouse Project teams.</li> <li>Utilize processes and systems developed to expand manufacturing processes to globally.</li> <li>Coordinate closely with engineering to translate engineer‑to‑order designs into executable manufacturing plans, accounting for testing infrastructure requirements.</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications:</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering</li> <li>Qualified applicants will have 10+ years of professional experience in engineering/technology-based industries.</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering design or manufacturing role.</li> <li>10+ years of professional experience in engineering/technology based industries</li> <li>5+ years of experience project management experience of complex technically oriented projects with programmatic, budgetary, and resource direction responsibilities.</li> <li>Strong understanding of engineer‑to‑order workflows, including design release processes, configuration management, and production readiness.</li> </ul> We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
