System Safety Engineer - Technical Specialist II in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: On any given day: -Model functionality of aircraft systems and their intersystem dependencies. -Assign aircraft functions to supporting systems -Assess the impact of system functional losses to the aircraft -Assess system design changes for their functional effect on the aircraft -Use cause and effect techniques to classify the importance of components based on failure effect to the aircraft-Calculate probability of failure occurrence using Boolean Algebra via Fault Tree analysis -Work with system design engineers to better system operation -Become proficient in various aircraft system designs. -Manage requirements through capturing, tracing and analyzing. -Analyze aircraft wiring to understand the system and aircraft effect for loss of wire function. -Assess aircraft compartment zones for various specific hazards such as fire, fuel and smoke due to ignition sources. -Assess the impact to the aircraft from loss of components due to an engine blade failure.
