The Service Technician will provide technical, service and aftermarket- customer support during field service activities on various types of compressors, fans, roots type blowers and turbines. Diagnosing machinery, process and operating problems on rotating machinery and auxiliary equipment.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><i><b>What Will You Do?</b></i></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <p>• Perform service/repair on rotational equipment and multi-brand compressors; both oil-injected and oil-free.</p> <p>• Ability to interpret and understand PID, drawings, manuals, etc., related to all types of compressors, turbines, and blowers.</p> <p>• Navigate multi-brand compressor controllers to obtain data to assist in troubleshooting.</p> <p>• Install new equipment (Construction Job Sites and Retrofits).</p> <p>• Conduct statutory and insurance examinations on rotational equipment.</p> <p>• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.</p> <p>• Produce timely and detailed service reports.</p> <p>• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.</p> <p>• Managing service contracts on customer sites.</p> <p>• Laser alignment of equipment.</p> <p>• Commissioning of the plant.</p> <p>• Support workshop associates when required.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><i><b>Your Experience Should Be...</b></i></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <ul> <li>Trade test certificate in Fitting or National Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.</li> <li><strong>Refrigeration experience and a formal license/ trade test </strong><strong>c</strong><strong>ertificate in Ammonia CAT B</strong></li> <li>A minimum of 6 years of related experience in the rotating equipment field.</li> <li>A high level of analytical ability is required to find solutions to technical problems, both mechanical and electrical</li> <li>Proficiency in problem solving, process analysis, and the capacity to troubleshoot.</li> <li>Read and comprehend written technical information in the form of technical manuals, drawings, parts books, and relevant publications is essential.</li> <li>Must be medically fit to perform duties and be familiar with job site safety requirements.</li> <li>Computer literate and proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook</li> <li>Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.</li> <li>A firm commitment to customer service excellence in all circumstances.</li> <li>Strong technical knowledge of Rotating Equipment (reciprocating, centrifugal and screw compressors, steam turbines, Roots and centrifugal blowers)</li> <li>Valid passport holder, a valid driver’s license, and overhead crane license.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><i><b>Our Benefits Package...</b></i></H2> </div><div><p> </p> <p>Howden provides a great benefits package in addition to an attractive salary.
