Candidates must be able to perform complex and critical welding operations and the position requires a full range of experience and training. Various types of metals are used during the production process and the following types of welding are performed: GMAW, GTAW, Sub-arc welding, Plasma-arc cutting and Air-arc gouging.</p> <p> </p> <p>2nd Shift Positions Available</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><i><b>What Will You Do?</b></i></H2> </div><div><p><u>Welder 5<br><br></u></p> <ul> <li>Perform Mig welding on various parts that are manufactured from stainless steel mild steel, with various thicknesses.</li> <li>Layout, assemble and weld according to drawings, bill of materials, work instructions, weld procedures and measuring devices.</li> <li>Ability to judge the type and gauge of steel to be welded, and make proper adjustments as required by welding procedures</li> <li>Position welded metal parts on fixtures; attached jigs &amp; clamps as needed to hold metal parts in proper position for welding.</li> <li>Perform complete welding and finishing operations for unit repair.</li> <li>Use various handling devices in conjunction with welding tasks.</li> <li>Accurately maintain required documentation.</li> <li>Utilize visual examination of welds for defect and verifying weld sizes with fillet gauges.</li> <li>Observe and practice safety procedures and policies, participate in safety program and department meetings.</li> <li>Train and instruct other welders</li> <li>Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.</li> <li>You may work in other departments as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><u>Welder 6</u></p> <p>All Welder 5 responsibilities including:</p> <ul> <li>Perform Mig and Tig plate Welding on various parts that are manufactured from stainless steel mild steel, with various thicknesses.</li> <li>Pipe welding</li> <li>Plasma Tig welding</li> <li>Perform manufacturing activities with minimal instruction and supervision</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><i><b>Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…</b></i></H2> </div><div><ul type="disc"> <li>Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and occasionally heavier (50-60 lbs.) with assistance</li> <li>Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling</li> <li>Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials</li> <li>Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions</li> <li>Exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation</li> <li>Possible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremes</li> <li>Exposure to overhead objects and occasional flying debris</li> <li>Required use of safety glasses with side shields, ANSI approved steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection and hard hat</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><i><b>Your Experience Should Be...</b></i></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Previous experience performing Mig and/or Tig Welding required </li> <li>Pipe Welding experience is required or able to obtain within your certification period</li> <li>Pipe Fitting experience is preferred</li> <li>Print reading course including welding symbols desired</li> <li>Ability to comprehend complex blueprints and weld symbols</li> <li>Experience with air-arc gouging and operation of plasma cutting machines</li> <li>Ability to accurately measure using devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Successful ability to pass company welder certification tests within 4 weeks of start</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><em>Your Education Should Be…</em></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> <li>Technical welding diploma required in lieu of welding experience</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><i><b>Our Benefits Package...</b></i></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Compensation range: $25.00-$35.09/hour <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Night shift employees receive an additional $2.00/hour shift differential</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Paid Time Off (PTO)</li> <li>Medical, Dental and Vision insurance</li> <li>Employer contributions to an HSA account</li> <li>Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)</li> <li>Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage</li> <li>Basic life insurance with the option to purchase supplemental individual, spouse and dependent child coverage</li> <li>Up to two weeks of paid family leave</li> <li>401k retirement savings plan including a company match</li> </ul></div></div></div>
